“I saw
pleasantness but I perceived scripts in the actions of the people. I saw union
but dullness drags citizens to their limits of expressions. I saw profusion but
it was not worth to fill up the famished minds of humanity.”
The
reason why we further develop ourselves is to consider the fact that we are
living in a world where change is the only constant matter. In order to live,
we must fulfill things which we aren't seen, we aren't visualized and which we aren't seized. As a matter of fact, I can’t imagine how life would be surrounded
with limits grabbing us to the graves of wreckage like the lives of the inhabitants
inside the televised world of Pleasantville.
Sitting
with ease and placate capability, acquisition of critically combined insults
and appreciations was the only thing I want to articulate with my judgments of
the film “Pleasantville” which I saw with my two vivid ogles that perhaps is a system
of my intellectual analysis.
Pleasantville
for me somehow shows entwine from what is unpleasant to being pleasant. As I judge it according to its movie title,
it came to my psyche a film that is all in relation to a congenial in
temperament, illustrates how contemporary life is, imagining the fact that
everything’s well in place. Yes, it did show me what I have anticipated however
it had left me with thoughts of enthusiasm. Moreover, the main characters of
this movie were in disparity that the boy named David was identically introvert in behavior opposite from his sister
Jenifer who was entirely different from him. As what I've scrutinized, David
loves to stay inside the house watching his favorite movie, “Pleasantville”, an
old motion picture depicted in black and white format. His sister indeed was of
kind promiscuous. Because David and
Jenifer fought for their favorite TV series, their world became uncanny that
their lives were in trouble inside a television acting the son and daughter of
the show “Pleasantville”. A lesson in life that fighting will never lead to a
good outcome. Their melancholy all started just because of this.
There
are actually positive and negative lessons we can get from this movie. This was
like essentially going beyond its limitations, discovering new horizons and
breaking the rules that somehow may be of good result. In fact, the overall
content messaged a legit life rousing dynamics that which in reality, we humans
can significantly apply.
At the
very beginning, it seemed to be a disaster for the two siblings to play the
role as the son and daughter in the movie. However, as time elapse, they have
realized to take part in their new environment which resulted to unusual
actions and notions such as experiencing sex, fire, rain, art, and even the masturbation
of the mother. To add more, the shining of colors from gray to red and
dispersed with multi-colors that which brought vibrancy to Pleasantville was
indeed of graciousness and intelligence. The dullness of black and white was
then evaporated and turned into unblemished colors of a rainbow that in any
means is a splendor which can never be deceived.
“There’s a need to separate
things which are pleasant from unpleasant.”
This
was a line from Sir Big Bob, the mayor of the Pleasantville that perhaps
walloped a big deal to my senses. Yes,
it does recommend a solution for the prevailing changes inside the
Pleasantville but it was in being rude and insulting. Actually, it’s just a
matter of respect to things that are poles apart. Furthermore, he was actually
wrong that he chose colored objects as unpleasant ones, reflecting it to life,
colors make us lively, inspired and that made our living into bliss nevertheless
still they don’t discern yet. Hence, it was the unrevealed feeling waiting to
be exposed that makes our lives colorful and consequential in many line of
attacks. In other ways, this solution has led to a distinction between things
never been discovered to their milieu- far more than before- the distinction of
what is beautiful from what is not. “If everyone would look for that uniqueness then we
would have a very colorful world” as what Michael Schenker said.
If truth be told, I thought at first David and
Jenifer will devastate the entire movie as respect to its flow of presentation
and the creepy old movie repairer had punished them to be acting like so in the
televise world for the reason that they are fighting against each other. Conversely,
I was totally erroneous, knowing the fact that it was all in his plan as to add
changes in the world of dullness inside the Pleasantville. Thus, what the
siblings did was then a legit one for the changes, the changes that brought new
horizons for the film citizens where everything is innovative and versatile.
